Public Safety
Spatial Information plays an important role in
public safety. It is an integral part to all aspects
of public safety such as law enforcement, fire
control and prevention, ambulance and other
emergency services. Response capabilities often rely
on a variety of data from multiple agencies. The
capability to access and process information quickly
and deploy resources where needed can be mission
critical. Information about the location of an
incident or disaster is often crucial in being able
to respond quickly and efficiently.
Primarily, public safety focuses on three
objectives, protecting life, property and critical
infrastructure. Meeting these objectives requires a
multitude of critical tasks that incorporate both
short and long range planning including risk
assessment, mitigation, preparedness, response, and
recovery. Information and technology are crucial in
these efforts and Geographic Information System
(GIS) software is the core information and analysis
tool that helps manage public safety operations.
InfoGraph provides a full range of products and
integrated technologies that are seen as the proven
